Contract & Royalties Coordinator

This role exists at the intersection of A&R, finance and legal. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that contracts are delivered and collected in a timely manner and the appropriate provisions are then executed for royalty payments to music contributors.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and validate raw digital and physical sales files for royalty processing 
• Legal administration for producer, writer, and feature agreements 
• Translate long form agreements to our royalty processing software Curve to ensure the accurate setup and ongoing maintenance of royalty provisions 
• Provide partners with invoicing instructions and coordinate billing process 
• Administer music video, artwork and creative work-for-hire agreements
• Assist artists and producers with customer support on reviewing their royalty statements 
• Oversee copyright submission and maintenance of copyright database
• Send out mechanical licenses to song publishers and register songs with MDX
• Coordinate and process raw files for publishing payments 
• Assist Finance Manager on artist inquiries regarding royalties, providing analyses and supporting documentation
• Maintain contract database
• Update any contractual changes within the royalty software 
• Prepare and maintain status reports on legal paperwork
